How it started
The founder of SASA had a long conversation about the making of website, specially for government school but the real problem was acquainted when we visited ground level. If someone wants to do something new then they must visit the ground level to understand the problem. The amount we approached to the single school and the amount school can afford - vary a lot.
After the visit we had a conclusion that we will do it with the help of Municipality. That's where we went to the Punarbas Municipality, Kanchanpur where we were born and raised. As this was our hometown we felt easier there to convince the principals and the people.
Punarbas Municipality got the Mayor whose background was a Teaching profession, this helped us a lot to pitch in-front of the Mayor. He was very satisfied with the demo of website. The very first meeting was with the Mayor, Education department representative, IT department representative and the secretary of the Mayor. There we were successful to convince everyone that the future and the information should be digital. We proposed to built the 32 government school websites that resides inside Punarbas Municipality. Convincing everyone is not everyones cup of tea but we did, we did it.
How we built
We were directed to complete the project within 60 days according to our agreement but we completed making the websites within 40 days. In between we helped every school acquire the .edu.np domain. We were astonished by few principals because they were tech friendly that made them easy to make data, and few Principals were unknown with the technology of todays world but we helped them to make and input data inside the website.
As guided by the Punarbas Municipality IT department we were directed to develop the website features inside the website according to the IT department specifications. We successfully made the dynamic website for 32 schools under Punarbas Municipality.
Training for 32 School Principals
Finally we were in Punarbas Municipality to train all the principals and the school representative. The training session was conducted by the Founders of SASA Infosys.
We were very happy to see schools principal and representative attending the training session that was conducted by SASA Infosys Pvt. ltd. under Punarbas Municipality. The attendance proved that we were successful to convince every school about the value of websites. That curiosity in learning about websites and integrating the data proved our effort of a small step for digital school.
We conducted the training session and completed successfully. "Mayor Initiative for Digital Punarbas" started with this slogan and did what we had to do. We promised every school that we will help in any circumstances with the website development issue for 10 Years.
A decade of support will help every school learn, implement and become used to with their own personal websites. From now on every one around the world can see the information from Punarbas Municipality government school.
