We are very excited to announce that we have officially signed a web development contract with Shree Sunkuda Secondary School, duly represented by its Principal Mr. Madan Bahadur Bam. This is one more milestone in our mission to step up the digitization of educational institutions across Nepal.
Meeting
We did not have a physical meeting though, but our virtual meeting was often before we stepped up into the contract paper. Mr. Ramesh Singh Saud (Vice Principal) of Shree Sunkuda Secondary School was upfront in talks with SASA to make the website. He knew the importance and value of the website, so Mr. Ramesh insisted his Principal and Committee to make the website, and at the same time he saw our advertisement on website development. That's how SASA and Sunkuda were connected.
At first, Mr. Ramesh was very happy with the demo we provided and he wanted to make his school website simple like our demo. We then sent him the price and services details of how we give 10 years of free support. He negotiated the price, but our company was stuck to the price because we believe in service at a reasonable price. By the time, customers will need good service. Then Mr. Ramesh talked with his Principal and Committee and came to the decision to make the Sunkuda school website.
Contract
After the long conversation on Facebook and slight in WhatsApp, we agreed upon the agreement/contract that we had prepared for. Now was the time for contract signing. Physically, it was not possible for us to go to Bajhang district and sign the contract. So, we digitally sent our contract and told Mr. Ramesh to print that contract on the school letter pad with the signature of the Principal and the school stamp and send it back to us. He did what we told him to do in a very convenient time.
Finally, the contract was signed.
Now after the contract, our second step is to go through the domain process as .edu.np domain is provided by Mercantile Communication Pvt. Ltd. We only help to acquire the domain, but we are not responsible for approval or disapproval.
The good thing we suggested to Mr. Ramesh was they already had their domain, but not in the school email. Someone had taken it a while back with his own email. We helped Sunkuda School to get back their domain by requesting to transfer the domain into the school’s premises. Thankfully, it was approved and the school was happy with SASA.
How Sunkuda School Knew
Mr. Ramesh Singh Saud knew about SASA through the Facebook ad and convinced his Principal and Committee to work with us.
What We Knew New From Mr. Ramesh
Firstly, we thought only the Principal and the School Committee could transcribe into the achievement of making a website, but Mr. Ramesh proved us wrong as he convinced his Principal and Committee to make the website.
Moral: Not only the Principal, but a teacher can come front and convince his School Committee and Principal to make the website by showing its value and impact in society.
